Land pollution occurs when waste is deposited on the ground of our planet. These deposits contaminate water and soil to levels that can become danger to public health and the planet.

Most pollution occurs from either commercial or household waste, so it’s vital that we all do our bit and act, individually and collectively before it’s too late.

The fast fashion industry is one of the biggest contributors to waste found in landfill sites across the world. In 2020, an estimated 18.6 million tons of clothes entered landfills.

Since 2001, over 8,000 fires have occurred on American landfill sites. This is caused by heat generated from large amounts of gas emissions harming the environment.
